In Psalm 119, we read:
75 I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right and righteous, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.
I remember very vaguely that a boy was angry with his father because he didn't discipline him when it was appropriate. The psalmist, on the other hand, understood that the Lord is just because he disciplined the psalmist.
